School visits, creative conferences, university lectures - you name it, I’ve done it! I love speaking to young readers and educating students on how to create a sustainable art career.
See below for more information about scheduling a visit or a workshop. Rates depend on many factors such as travel costs, number of sessions, and whether the visit is in person or virtual.
School and Library Visits
School visits are a great way to help students engage in art and literacy. My presenations are tailored to different age groups and offer interactive activities that focus on literacy and art. Each session includes a reading of a book and a Q&A at the end.
Pricing
In-Person, Full Day
Three to Four Sessions (30-60 Minutes)
Includes a storytime, live drawing session, behind the scenes look, and a Q&A.
$1200, plus travel if outside the NYC Metro area. Additional info for longer travel can be provided upon request.
In-Person, Half Day
Two Sessions (30-60 Minutes)
Includes a storytime, live drawing session, behind the scenes look, and a Q&A.
$600, plus travel if outside the NYC Metro area. Additional info for longer travel can be provided upon request.
Virtual Session
Includes a virtual storytime, live drawing session, behind the scenes look, and a Q&A.
$500
Discounts Rates
The rates listed above are standard. I understand that for some schools, funds can be difficult to come by. I believe these visits are a great learning opportunity for every students, and am happy to alter these events to meet your schools needs. I’m happy to offer discounted rates to Title 1 and underserved schools available upon request.
A discounted rate is also available for every school that orders at least 25 picture books from my catalogue, either through parent purchases or directly by the school.
Workshops
Workshops allow me to go more in depth about my experience as an freelance illustrator, how I find work, my art process and much more. I typically hold these workshops for high school and university level students as well as creative conferences.
