I’m DeAndra!

DeAndra Hodge (Dee-On-druh) is an NAACP Image Award winning illustrator and designer based in Washington D.C.

While she moved around often due to her parent’s military background, DeAndra considers Huntsville, AL home. She graduated with a BA in Fine Art from the University of Montevallo.

She loves projects that showcase the importance of community, culture, history, and education.

She is best known as the illustrator of Yvonne Clark and Her Engineering Spark (Macmillan), the Beyond the Game series (Penguin Random House), as well as Tell Me About Juneteenth (Macmillan). Her other clients include the DC Public Library, Cafe Bustelo, and Giant.

DeAndra is not open for self publishing projects at this time.
